Ah the fabulous Booker boy.
When Dennis Bookers(Richard Grieco) character was first introduced on Jump Street, I have to admit I didnt like him, but after his closing scene at the end of the intense frat episode, Hell Week, I was hooked I mean, modern Fonzie? Booker Rocks!
One of my favorite pictures of Grieco has to be from 1990, where hes sitting infront of a portrait of James Dean...why, because its him. Booker is everything rebellious but tempered with a heart of gold. An ex cop turned P.I., Dennis is a menace for justice a one man army against the world. Hell break all the rules to bring the baddies down, but he always finds the time to listen to and help the individual people that he meets. Not only does he grow immensely as a character himself, but every episode finds him imparting what hes learned to everyone else in the form of an inspirational speech.
I love the spinoff, Booker as much as Jump Street (I highly recommend both). Its well paced, with clever storylines, and a great sense of humor. Not to mention, a ton of cameos/regulars by later Stargate (and Sanctuary) actors, including but not limited too: Carmen Arengziano, Christopher Judge, Don S.Davis, Gary Jones, Jay Brazeau, Ian Tracy, Garwin Sanford, etc.
I chose this song because for me it is Booker. While everyone else around him is living everyday the same, hes thrill seeking. Whether it be deep-cover drug busts, freeing hostages, infiltrating as a hot handyman (cliché, right ;), stalking a serial killer, or even undercover street hooking he does it his way regardless of what anybody else says. Everyone who disagrees with him is a robot surviving solely on the boring coffee and donuts of life, or as Dennis loves to point out with distaste eating Twinkies.
Its because of his passion and emotional drive for what he does that people tend to think hes nuts, or at times borderline cruel. Bookers half insane plans and actions appear reckless to his friends, co-workers, and even enemies but crazy is simply a matter of perspective.

Paradox: science vs. faith
The main goal of this video is to pull out the spiritual undercurrent of a scientific show. Fringe is based heavily on shock value, with gross-out guts and inventive, but appalling, deaths. Its meant to make your skin crawl at the idea of what your own body could do if given the right conditions. Yet despite the mutations and butchered experiments, there also lies a profound human drama. A side of the show, which repeatedly admits that man is just a man, and despite the science, he can never be God.
Matthew 6:25-34:
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Random, random, random!!! Yes, thats what this vid is! But I LOVE this movie, its very special to me for more reasons than one. I guess because I can relate to Drews process of losing a family member, and the craziness of the rest of his family is quite close to my own extra-family life. I have so many nuts in my family its not even funny. Everybodys wonko in their own way, I suppose xD
And of course, its Orlando Bloom...so how could I not love it?....no cracks, please...thank you! ;P
I just adore this version of the song. Personally I like it better than Cheryl Coles version, but thats just me. Im still not sure if it really fits the movie, but they did save each other so I think it works well enough and...I like it ;)
