A simple, beautiful tune by Donovan felt like an appropriate close to the year. Thank you to all those who have followed me for years, months or weeks; as well as those who might come across these videos in the future. I've been covering songs here on Youtube for a little over ten years, sometimes more frequently than others, and haven't missed a Sunday in two years. It's been great getting to share the music I love with others, and having quite a few of you become part of the crew on here and other social media, as well as those of you who are generously crazy enough to support me on Patreon. I'm eternally grateful to each and every one of you. People often wonder why I make so many covers, or why I'm so consistent about it. It's part love, part grind and part destiny, or life purpose. Like a bee has a purpose in life, I feel the same way about music. And, contrary to the belief that you have to wait around to be inspired or "be in the mood", I have pushed myself to prove the opposite. Fire, floods, pandemics, hunger, sleeplessness and drama are but things a musician can power through if he or she wishes to. As for the love of music, it is an indescribable feeling that at times that leads you on, sometimes blindly; its tentacles wrapping themselves around you, sometimes warmly, sometimes strangling you, as you become one with the force of nature that is music. Nevertheless, as I have strove to be so consistent and grind myself down to the bone of covering song after song, I do feel it's time to step back, breathe in, breathe out, and seek the next step. I may not upload as frequently or consistently over the coming year, and there may be more talking, or original music... I can't quite say yet. It's all a guess to me. I am but a puppet that music plays. Wishing you all a beautiful end of the year, and a Happy New Year! Thank you for listening, and well... reading all this. See you in 2022.
