This production is intended to give patients, their family and friends information about the psychological medicine support available to you at the Churchill hospital during cancer treatment.
The production contains information about:
1. The impact of diagnosis - What you might feel
2. Why psychological medicine support can help
3. How support is initially offered to you - Questionnaire
4. How we analyse the results and integrate into your clinical record
5. Having a follow up call and discussion
6. Putting a support package in place
7. Coping with the psychological impact of diagnosis and treatment
8. Attending a psychological medicine support session
9. The benefits of psychological medicine support
10. Integrating clinical and psychological treatments
11. Integrating hospital and out of hospital (GP) care
12. Suitably prescribing appropriate anti depressant medication
13. Continuity of psychological support throughout your treatment pathway
14. Returning to a normal life after treatment
