Nightstand Central Alarm Clock (app store app, no jailbreak required!) allows you to display a large clock and the weather on top of a wallpaper that you can customize for the brand/model of your car. This is great for a "standby" screen when you don't need maps or your music player being shown. You can download the app for free from here:
