Capitol Reef National Park Scenic Drive on Utah Route 24 4K @AdventureEveryDay

Complete scenic drive through Capitol Reef National Park on Utah Route 24, also known as the Capitol Reef Country Scenic Byway. We begin heading eastbound on Route 24 in Torrey, Utah and head east through Capitol Reef, stopping at the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive which was unfortunately closed at the time due to flash floods in the park the previous day. We continue heading east through the rest of the park and end up in Hanksville, Utah where we turn around and drive the entire length of the scenic byway portion on Utah Route 24 from Hanksville west back through Capitol Reef and end in Loa, Utah.

This scenic drive was filmed in the month of August.

Our drive from Denver, Colorado, to Salt Lake City begins on I-70 westbound, winding through the majestic Rocky Mountains under a sky that briefly opened with a light rain, casting a misty veil over the rugged peaks and lush valleys. As we ascend through Vail Pass and Glenwood Canyon, the rain clears, revealing vibrant alpine meadows and towering evergreens, and we got close to an active wildfire that sent a faint haze across the horizon. Crossing into Utah the next day, the landscape transformed into a dramatic desert expanse, with red rock formations, the outstanding San Rafael Swell, and vast plateaus stretching endlessly under a blazing sun and a few clouds. Turning north on I-15, we marveled at the stark beauty of the Wasatch Front, its craggy peaks guiding us into Salt Lake City, where the city’s skyline welcomes us after an unforgettable journey. $The Ghost Town Zion Visitors Have No Idea About | Scenic Drive & Drone In this video we drive to an abandoned ghost town in the Utah desert on Smithsonian Butte National Backcountry Byway, a 9 mile unpaved dirt road. Beginning in Apple Valley, Utah, we head north and take in the incredible geology of the area with aerial drone views of the area. As the Byway ends, we head over to Grafton, Utah, a ghost town from the 1800s where we explore the buildings and the cemetery.
