In 1983 the Canadian group Glass Tiger, formerly Tokyo, was formed, and within 3 years in 1986 they won 3 Juno Awards (Canada's equivelent of the Grammys) for Best Band, Best Album (their debut album The Thin Red Line) and Best Single (Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone), and won another two awards in 1987. They were nominated for Best New Artist at the 1987 Grammys. They taped a Good Rockin' Tonite TV Special with host Stu Jeffries for CBC Vancouver following their massive 1986 win. The band consisted of Alan Frew (vocals), Sam Reid (keyboards), Al Connelly (guitars), Michael Hanson (drums). Don't Forget Me includes a vocal backing by Bryan Adams (words: my heart would break/for goodness sake), whose song writing partner Jim Vallance cowrote the song with the band.
