Ingredients:

1 lb ground sausage
1 small onion diced
1 green pepper diced
3 garlic cloves minced
1 jalapeno pepper diced (optional)
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2 cups half & half
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt/pepper to taste
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F
2️⃣ Brown sausage in a skillet, drain excess grease.
3️⃣ Add diced vegetables to sausage and cook 2-3 minutes
4️⃣ Spread sausage evenly in a greased 9x9 dish, sprinkle with 1/2 the cheese.
4️⃣ In a bowl, whisk eggs, half & half, seasonings, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
5️⃣ Pour the mixture over the sausage and top with remaining cheese.
6️⃣ Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden and set.
7️⃣ Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Serve with a fresh salad or a dollop of sour cream for the ultimate homestead comfort meal. 🌿
