Hoopers Beta | Can You Heal Climbing Injuries with Sub-Max Holds? #shorts @HoopersBeta | Uploaded June 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 minute ago.
Can climbing injuries be healed with long sub-max holds? We know this type of hold can be greatly beneficial for healing finger injuries, but it's also used frequently to heal other injuries like shoulder issues and Achilles tendons (such as with heel raises). The concept of sub-max holds is a great one for climbers to be aware of, as not all training and healing is effective when expending maximum force. Tissue compliance, improved blood flow, and better tissue remodeling are just some of the benefits of this technique.
