Join me on another solo summit camp in the Lake District. Once again the weather was absolutely stunning for the time of year, so it was the perfect opportunity to combine my trekking pole tent and rucksack from Nightcat. I park up at Pooley Bridge on the shores of Ullswater, and begin my 3.5 mile hike to my wildcamping destination. En route I call in to a stone circle, before continuing to Arthur's Pike, where the views over the lake were just amazing. With time on my hands I decided to hike over to Bonscale Pike and tap the 2nd Wainwright summit of the day. I enjoyed the views there but decided to head back to Arthur's Pike to camp. On returning I set my chair up and take in the wonderful views for a few hours, before setting up my tent. 30mph winds were forecast, and due to drop to virtually nothing by 9pm, but there was barely a breeze, and I even managed to get the drone up! The combination of the Nightcat tent and rucksack worked well for me, enabling all my kit, including the drone to come with me and still be lightweight. I then enjoy my food outside the tent to the most amazing sunset before retiring for the night. THEN the wind picked up to circa 30mph and the tent was at it's limit! Did I get a good night's sleep, watch and find out 🤣 I hope you all enjoy, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕😁 #hiking #camping #mountains #tent #views
