ℹ️ Stage 6 of the Camino del Norte travels between Guernica and Bilbao over 31.3 km (19.5 miles). That is more than we usually like to walk so we’re stopping in Lazama and taking either a train or bus to avoid the industrial walk into the city. First, we will share a little of the tragic history of the traditional Basque capital of Guernica.
