...When I processed the cacao branches for cordage the other day I ended up with quite a few short bits left over so I thought it would be worth while trying them in a fire roll.
.
...As there were only enough for one attempt I thought I'd add a few wood ashes to increase my chances. After one good roll I got a slight burning smell so I stopped to check & there was a slight wisp of smoke emanating from the roll & I just about got ignition. A few more rolls would of got it smoking freely but I managed to root out the ember & get it glowing.
