#Rover #rockerbogie #4WD
In this video series, I’m building a terrestrial rover designed to explore the ecosystem. It’s equipped with 4WD and a rocker-bogie suspension system. The camera pan-tilt unit uses bus servos with magnetic encoders. The wheels are from Servo City and have a diameter of 140 mm. Currently, the rover is controlled via a PS2 gamepad (Bluetooth). The frame is made of inexpensive 2020 aluminum extrusions. Other components are laser-cut or 3D-printed. I designed most of the PCBs myself. The rover is powered by a 3S LiPo battery with a capacity of 7.5 Ah. In the next part of the series, I will build a robotic arm and the sensor module.
