I have an iguana that needs a very large indoor enclosure. My idea is to TIG weld square steel tubing to make the frame. I can make the back window and the sliding windows out of polycarbonate, then use fusion360 to CAD design a sliding mechanism for the doors, which I will 3d print in nylon. I will make a water reservoir to permit for bioactive options, and to maintain the humidity. In the future, I will sculpt some naturalistic and realistic terrarium/vivarium artificial branches (for easy cleaning), and I will make some Mayan ruins out of polystyrene and Drylock. Ultimately, a raspberry pi will control the humidity, temperature, and air exchange, while spinning up a python flask internet server.
00 Start Here
38 Crappy Welding
00 Add Wood and Lexan
38 Sliding Lexan Doors
34 Paint it Pretty
12 Keep it Moist
21 Terrain and Automation
