Deaf poet John Wilson's signed poem (in British Sign Language) "Time" tells of a deaf boy's search for the meaning of Time, aided by a deaf teacher. It was performed in a studio at the Centre for Deaf Studies at the University of Bristol in 2010.
The poems in this channel are part of the collection made as the University of Bristol Sign Language Poetry Anthology with the aim to study metaphor in sign language poetry. The poem is discussed in the book Introducing sign language literature folklore and creativity, by Rachel Sutton-Spence and Michiko Kaneko, published by Palgrave press.
