Deaf poet Donna Williams's signed poem (in British Sign Language) "Bella’s Penguins" is an analogy that compares a deaf person’s communication in deaf and hearing worlds with a penguin’s ability to move on land and in water. It was performed in February 2011 at the Bristol centre for Deaf people.
