Deaf poet Richard Carter's signed poem (in British Sign Language) "Sam's Birthday" tells a story of child whose birthday treat includes meeting a signing bear - that turns out to be his father. It contains examples of anthropomorphisatin It was performed at the Arnolfini Arts Centre in Bristol in 2009.
