Deaf poet John Wilson’s signed poem (in British Sign Language with international signing) "For Two Special People" is a poem that describes the happy homes of two friends, where the cat is in charge. It was recorded as part of the second Signing Hands Across the Water festival at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, April 2014.
The poems in this channel are part of the collection made as the University of Bristol Sign Language Poetry Anthology with the aim to study metaphor in sign language poetry. The poem is discussed in the book Introducing sign language literature folklore and creativity, by Rachel Sutton-Spence and Michiko Kaneko, published by Palgrave press.
