On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at approximately 2227 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault inside of 1700 Bedford Avenue, within the confines of the 71 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 74-year-old female with multiple stab wounds to the head and arms, and a 72-year-old female with stab wounds to the back and arm. EMS responded and transported the 74-year-old female victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where she was pronounced deceased. The 72-year-old female victim was removed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition. A person of interest was taken into custody on scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
