A police pursuit tied to a stolen vehicle from an earlier robbery unfolded just after midnight on April 24, 2026, across north Houston, leading to multiple crash scenes and several injuries. During the chase, an HPD officer crashed and overturned their vehicle at West Little York and the North Freeway, while a second collision occurred at West Mount Houston and the North Freeway when an HPD unit and a Harris County Precinct 1 constable—both responding with lights and sirens—T-boned each other. All involved officers were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with stable conditions and minor injuries, possibly including broken bones. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a ditch, after which three suspects fled on foot but were quickly apprehended; no suspects remain outstanding. Authorities expected the West Mount Houston intersection to remain closed for approximately 90 minutes during the investigation.
