NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators processed an apartment building in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx following the reported SA of a 12-year-old girl early Monday morning, April 27, at around 3:05 a.m. FDNY EMS transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Authorities returned to the scene Tuesday morning, April 28, spending several hours collecting evidence. According to sources, a person of interest was taken into custody after the victim’s father restrained the suspect until police arrived. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and video from the scene shows the surrounding area, the building exterior, and crime scene activity without revealing the exact address.
