Houston firefighters responded to an apartment fire on Bellerive Drive around 8:48 p.m. on May 4, 2026, where flames spread across three floors of the building. The fire was quickly extinguished and all residents safely self-evacuated, with no injuries reported and no one found trapped inside. Six apartments were heavily damaged by the fire, displacing residents now being assisted by the Red Cross. HFD Arson investigators believe food left on a stove may have sparked the blaze, though the cause remains under investigation.
