Real SMT Game joke.
Rules:
- The difficulty must be set to Hard for all fights the party participates in.
- EXP gain must be turned off (JP gain is still allowed).
- Norende must not be developed in any way. This is to prevent access to items, equipment, and special moves that can completely break the game.
- The use of Bravely Second is not allowed (not that you can get more SP with Citra, but still).
The first boss fight of the run is one of the most annoying. You have to fight two enemies who can attack for a good chunk of damage in tandem, and you have to use the two physically weakest characters in the party using a job with no offensive capabilities. To deal damage, play defensively with Defaults and healing with either Treat or Potions. After Barras Braves twice, have both Tiz and Agnes dual wield and burn all their BP attacking, before going back on the defensive.
When the bosses reach low health, their patterns change. For Holly, all she does is cast Dia on whosever health is low (Max two or three times), but the first time Barras gets low, he'll start committing Last Resort until either he or the party are dead. Weather the explosions and the battle will end itself as he kills him and his girlfriend for you.
After this you get the Monk and White Mage jobs, which to be fair are pretty good for early random encounters. Not a great start to the run, but it goes up from here.
