Boya Mini 2 Wireless Microphone Problems With The Boya App On Android With Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
So in this video I'm showing another problem with the Boya Mini 2 wireless microphone. This time an issue with the Boya App on Android when using the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This issue was similar to the issue I had on the iPhone 17 Pro Max but this is issue is worse. On the iPhone I have a random problem where the microphone level is not shown inside the Boya app. On the S25 Ultra I had this same problem when I first launched the app. However, the problem got much worse as the app wouldn't even open up the controls interface, UI, for the Boya Mini 2, even though the app has clearly connected to the mic and is showing it as a selectable option.
Now the reason why these problems are so bad is because if you can't see the microphone gain level, you may well be clipping or distorting the input to your iPhone or S25 Ultra, or any other device being used with the mic and app.
Plus. If you are using a camera app that does not have any mic gain control or microphone level monitoring. You will have no way of knowing what the level of your recording is like or if it is distorting, until you have recorded it, who is too late.
Will Boya fix these problems with an app update? Maybe. But right now there are definite random problems with the Boya app on both iOS with at least the iPhone 17 Pro Max and on Android with at least the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
I have not included any links to the Boya Mini 2 as right now I won't recommend it due to these fundamental issues controlling the mic from the app.
