The Andycine Lunchbox 3 is a USB-C to SATA SSD reader in the same style as the rest of their Lunchbox series of peripherals designed primarily for use with the Atomos Ninja series of external HDMI recorders.
You can use the Lunchbox 3 with 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 cables, 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 cables, 40Gb/s USB4 cables and any standard USB-C data cable that has a minimum rating of 5Gb/s.
You can connect the Andycine Lunchbox 3 to a host Thunderbolt 4 or 3 port on a host computer. However, regardless of what host interface you use, Thunderbolt or USB-C, and regardless of what data cables you use, Thunderbolt or USB-C. The data transfer from the SATA SSD connected to the Lunchbox 3 will be limited to the read speed of the SATA SSD or the USB-C bus speed.
