Man of Low Moral Fiber | Borderlands 2: Buffed Evil Smasher - Does it still suck!? @ManofLowMoralFiber | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 3 days ago
The Evil Smasher is a unique Torgue assault rifle that is rewarded for completing the "The Chosen One" quest that is available in the Sawtooth Cauldron.
Without the community patch, the Evil Smasher is significantly worse than even a green rarity Torgue assault rifle. With the buffs from the community patch, the Evil Smasher becomes a usable weapon that is comparable to purple rarity Torgue assault rifles.
The special effect of the Evil Smasher was severely nerfed in an effort to ensure that it will never transfer to another weapon. it is definitely good that it's not transferable to other weapons now, but being unable to switch to a slagging weapon when using the special effect is definitely something that holds the weapon back.
This weapon can get critical hits, so it also benefits from the global boost to critical hit damage. It also benefits from the increased AR ammo pickups.
Overall- the weapon doesn't suck, necessarily- but it's outclassed by more consistent weapons.
I am playing with the community patch which can be found here: mentalmars.com/game-news/borderlands-2-unofficial-community-patch
