The Skullmasher is the Legendary Jakobs Sniper rifle that is available as from Son of Mothrakk and Rakkanoth in the third campaign DLC- Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt.
It is the only sniper that has a shotgun like pellet count, and in Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, it received an extra pellet. The community patch brings that extra pellet to Borderlands 2. This makes an already strong sniper more comparable to the top tier snipers in the game.
This weapon greatly benefits from skills like Precision and Velocity. The boost to Critical Ascension has also helped the weapon significantly.
