Much light has been cast on the harmful impact of unconscious biases in recent years. Efforts to design them out of employment processes are far from over. But in this session, we go beyond a consideration of unconscious bias to explore how behavioural science can help us tackle additional pressing challenges: boosting workplace belonging among stigmatised groups, tackling workplace burnout, and overcoming the motherhood penalty. We hear about the work of leading academics and practitioners, and present results from The Gender and Behavioural Insights programme - a three year research collaboration between BIT and the UK Government Equalities Office.
Hilary Spencer - Director, Government Equalities Office
Dr Aneeta Rattan - Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour, London Business School
Dr Elizabeth Linos - Assistant Professor, University of California, Berkeley
Dr (h.c.) Frank Douglas - CEO, Caerus Executive
Hannah Burd - Head of Gender and Behavioural Insights Programme, BIT
