Bonnie Raitt was one of the trailblazers helping change the image of women in rock & roll. Not satisfied with just being the lead singer, from the beginning she let everyone know she could rock a lead guitar with the best of the men. In the early 80's I did this profile of Bonnie & her music for the Today Show where she talked about being a woman in rock and her own musical heritage from her father, John Raitt, who was a broadway star.
