Tis the season for old musical favorites and here is a version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen that was recorded years ago and never released but deserves to be heard this holiday season. It was recorded by my friends in the band Open Hands, Abraham Laboriel on bass, Justo Almario on sax, Greg Mathieson on keyboards, and Bill Maxwell on drums. The session was done live with an orchestra in one take and with no overdubs. Enjoy
