Description: This is just a quick video on how I mix and apply body filler.
1. Rough up the surface with some 80 grit sandpaper.
2. Clean the bare metal surface with some soap and water and wipe dry.
3. Apply your metal prep, if you have some, per the instructions on the container.
3. Place a piece of notebook paper on a flat surface and secure it, clamps or tape etc.
4. Mix the Bondo Body Filler should be mixed thoroughly then applied quickly, smoothly.
5. Wipe your tools or spreaders tools with some paper towels soaked in Isoprophyl Alcohol. It will soften the body filler and make it easier to remove the filler before it gets hard and brittle. This is important to ensure that when the tools are used next that the old filler does not break off and cause streaks in the new body filler being applied.
6. Remove the notebook paper and throw it in the trash.
7. You can use several layers of notebook paper to make it easier to align it under the clamps. Just remove the top one paper one clamp at a time.
8. Keep the channel and lid on the Body Filler can clean to ensure a proper seal after use. You can also use the paper towels and alcohol to make it easier to clean them after use.
