In this the third of my videos following pricklysauce.com build of, what I like to think of, as a bike wardrobe, I start to cut up materials and making the structural walls of the shed.
I build the end wall first to set out the pitch of the roof.
The walls are a basic timber frame with OSB cladding. Some joints are halving jointed for added strength, others are screwed.

In making the end frame I realised that it was really heavy! And decided that I would pre-cut the timber shiplap that will go on the outside and fit those on site.
This is a good idea as it reduces the weight and the cladding won't get damaged in transporting.
The clients asked that I provide space for their off-road unicycle. HOW COOL IS THAT! So I increased the size a bit and decided to make the side walls in two sections to be bolted together. Allowing the panels to fit inside my van for delivery.
The frames are all bolted together with coach bolts and nuts.
I have devised the use of scaffold tower adjustable legs that go through holes in the wall frames to allow the shed to be leveled easily on the uneven concrete hard standing in the clients garden.
It has the added benefit of keeping the timber off of the floor to reduce the chance of rotting. The shed is designed not to have a floor and so these will be bolted securely to the concreted pad.
Next video will get the door frame and roof made and fitted and tackle the super wide door!
