Best Old World Tree Tarantulas from the African continent are of course, Heteroscodra maculata & Stromatopelma calceatum. We know there is at least another one from Tanzania, the Encyocratella olivacea - but this species will get featured in another episode!
These arboreal tarantula from the West African part of the continent are extremely defensive tarantulas, make it hard for beginners to handle these species in captivity. Only for the advanced keeper, African Arboreal tarantula is the combination of the attitude of an OBT with the agility of a Heteropoda huntsman spider :)
