On our most recent tarantula hunt focused on Aphonopelma seemanni, the Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula. A. seemanni is a species of tarantula from Central America, occurring in countries like Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Even though there is potentially a new species in this huge distribution range, we will cover the Zebra Tarantula, Aphonopelma seemanni in this episode in a little more detail.
Aphonopelma seemanni makes a great pet tarantula, just make sure you give them the substrate to dig their deep burrows, that way they will also stay calm and don't react very defensive.
