Born in 1978 in Rosenheim, Benedikt Schiefer studied Composition in Munich and Basel and specialised in microtonal music. Besides his various compositions, Benedikt Schiefer also created sound installations and composed the original music for films by Volker Schlöndorff and Christoph Hochhäusler. In 2012 he won the German film critics' Award for the original score of Christoph Hochhäusler's THE CITY BELOW.
