Already at the age of eleven, Tom Tykwer shot his first short films and started to work as a projectionist at the age of thirteen. With RUN LOLA RUN (1998) Tom Tykwer created a cult film and became internationally known with the adaptation of Patrick Süskinds DAS PARFUM (2006) and THE INTERNATIONAL (2008). As cofounder of X FILME Creative Pool Tom Tykwer is not only working as a director and film composer but also as a producer since 1994. With him we spoke about chance, a very recurring issue in his films.
