The Beech Video Inc./Beech Production "Son of Godzilla" is one of a handful of early public domain video releases of the film (its copyright was subsequently restored with the Uruguay Round Agreements Act). If you were renting Godzilla tapes in the '80s and early '90s, chances are that your video store had one or more of these on the shelf.
Besides the inclusion of the Walter Reade Organization logo at the film's end (see the aforementioned video link), I suppose the most notable thing about this release is that it features the same telecine that Film Ventures International used for the copyrightable credits of its version of "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster," as seen on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Frankly, I'm uploading this primarily to share the cheesy company logo.
Beech also released "PD versions" of "Ghidrah" and "Godzilla versus the Sea Monster," and all three are getting much more difficult to find, especially in acceptable condition. But a note to eBay sellers: that doesn't mean these are worth $800. I don't think I'd pay much more than $50 for any Godzilla VHS.
