Chris Hilton belatedly narrates this English export trailer for Kinji Fukasaku's 1983 "Satomi Hakkenden" for Haruki Kadokawa (distributed by Toei). The film has its admirers, but IMO it's a typically bloated "everything but the kitchen sink" Kadokawa production made all the more endearingly absurd by the Rik Thomas-led English dubbing. The pop song featured in the trailer is another Haruki Kadokawa staple. John O'Banion actually contributes two songs here, both times coming off as a sort of budget Christopher Cross.
As I recall, "Legend of Eight Samurai" is the title on the export version of the film, but there seems to have been considerable miscommunication about the title here. You figure it out, I'm gonna watch "Message from Space" instead.
