Toho's "Godzilla 2000: Millennium" (1999) was first dubbed into English in Hong Kong by Rik Thomas' Omni Productions (a fact relayed by Omni actor Craig Allen to G-fan Brian Culver). TriStar Pictures received this version, but producer Michael Schlesinger decided to re-dub the film for its American theatrical release. One line of the Omni-recorded dub remains in TriStar's version, however, as Schlesinger explains in this clip from the DVD audio commentary (a must for Godzilla fans). I think the voice actor here is Henry Coombs.

In the commentary on the disc, Schlesinger unfortunately chats over most of the referenced dialogue, so I re-timed the commentary _and_ dropped in the line from the 2.0 English track to better illustrate his point.

Schlesinger also often quotes dialogue from the Omni dub and contrasts it with the lines he scripted for the U.S. re-dub.

Although the complete Omni Productions dub of "Godzilla 2000: Millennium" is unavailable, SpaceHunterM has most of the Toho-exported version's English visuals:
