Beech Staggerwing Foam Board RC Model Airplane
The Beechcraft Staggerwing was a popular personal aircraft from the 1930s. Sporting a roomy cabin and lot of power, along with a retractible landing gear, the Staggerwing was instantly recognizable on any airport ramp.

The Staggerwing makes for a unique RC model airplane. In this video, I will use 3/16" foam board to make this RC model airplane of the Staggerwing. The scratch build will use hot glue to construct the model and yellow packing tape for a covering.
In addition, the wings are completely flat with no airfoil and no dihedral. Note use of 2mm carbon rod for wing strength.
One key design aspect of this Beechcraft Staggerwing biplane is a slight amount of positive incidence in the upper wing. This is included on the fuselage plan, and helps with the flight of the model.
