Swingin' D Horse Rescue saves horses from slaughter, nurses them back to health and adopts them to responsible owners.
These two horses were saved from slaughter in February of 2017. They're both adopted out, but board at the D.
The all-black horse (Elvis) had a severe case of EPM when we got him. He underwent months of expensive treatment and is now able to play like a healthy horse. After months of being bottom of the rung, Elvis finessed his way to second position in the herd.
Rook (white star) just wants to party all the time. Elvis is his favorite plaything.
