Climbing higher didn't help a bear escape Tuesday morning. After being hit by a dart, a bear that closed streets in Albany, New York, fell into a net under the tree that had been spread by officers.

An officer told the crowd that the state Department of Environmental Conservation would take the unconscious bear to a nature preserve.
