Wow, Age of Extinction was also some shit huh? Regardless, this was the last Bay Transformers film to have a song made for the movie in the form of Imagine Dragons' Battle Cry. In this suite though is another theme I'm unsure of the identity of, but it's used in tandem with Battle Cry to where they're almost inseparable. It's a five note piano motif played alongside a rushing string ostinato and groovy guitar work. It seems to represent Cade's family and the movie as a whole, for it's a solemn yet hopeful piece of music that I wish was used more in the film because of it's pathos and memorability. But the actual Battle Cry song/theme is usually preceded by a nine note phrase usually sung by the singer Dan Reynolds. The chorus is the only part sung in the score itself, but alongside it is a different rushing string ostinato, this time far more urgent and action-heavy. The theme gets two note orchestral flourishes in the film's more intense sequences, all while being supported by thumping percussion and grinding guitar work. It's not the complex or emotional piece of music in the Transformers franchise, but it gets the job done in terms of being intense action music.
