Initially labeled as the theme for Elendil and Isildur on the first season album, Bear's blogs after the fact revealed the true nature of this theme to belong to that of the Faithful. With that knowledge in mind, the theme has a far deeper resonance than it did before. Not only does this song depict the heroism, goodness, and melancholy of the tale of Elendil and Isildur, but it now speaks for all of the Faithful fighting on as Pharazon's iron hand aims to wipe them out. There are so many fantastic variations of this theme throughout the season, keeping its wistful guitar strums and solo brass from last season to invoke the same mood as last season. But there are further stakes to the Faithful's tale, with that coming more urgent variations that speak to their unwillingness to stand down against the threat of Númenor. There's even a beautiful, haunting vocal rendition of theme by Clydene Jackson that burns the mournful tragedy of the Faithful into your ears through her performance.
