In this installment of Let's Talk About Butt Stuff I have a conversation about Ayurveda with friend and Yogi Kateland Reese. When I was diagnosed back in the spring Kateland was one of the first friends that reached out to ask how I was and to share any knowledge she thought might be helpful. I have joked in other vids about not being able to use one thing to treat a chronic illness, and I completely believe that each of us have to find a way to achieve the balance they need to reach our health goals.
I'm not out of my first flare yet, even though I'm much better than I was a year ago. Kateland was great to talk to about Ayurveda and how it could be useful for my diet balance journey. My crohnies know how hard it is to find that perfect balance with nutrition that keeps our guts in check. This installment is more a brief overview of Kateland's experience and a brief explanation of the 3 doshas.

This series provides viewers with an overview of my experience with this from the point of getting sick in September of 2019 to diagnosis in March of 2020. My hope is that these videos can be informative to others who are seeking information about Crohn's and the treatments available to them. Be prepared, I tell it like it is, so these videos will go into pretty graphic detail about the "butt stuff."
Since January I had two EUAs (Exam Under Anesthesia) that resulted in one partial fistulotomy and two setons (drains) being placed. Two colonoscopies and two MRIs. I began Remicade infusions in mid-March, I incorrectly state in the video my start date for Remicade, apologies it's been a year. I'm also currently on Azathioprine an oral immune suppressant (chemo).
