Hello gays, fruit flies, and allies! I'm so glad you've joined me for another video to the Lets Talk About Butt Stuff playlist. The topic of the day is 5 Tips for Dealing with Chronic Illness. The following are the things I wish I knew a year ago when I was first diagnosed with a chronic illness. Five things that I learned the hard way, and would want anyone else to look out for on their journey to better health.
In March of 2020, after 6 months to a year of pain and misdiagnosis I was properly diagnosed with complex perianal Crohn's disease. One year aho today I went into the infusion center for my first Remicade (infliximab) treatment. I credit that drug with helping me get closer and closer to remission.
I hope the last tip in this chronic illness vlog gives you all some positive motivation for you on your path to your best self. While I'm not only a chronic illness YouTuber, I dedicate a good deal of my content to issues impacting those with Crohn's pain or flare up.
Expect videos in this series on the surgeries I've had, my experience with colonoscopies, MRIs, going to battle with insurance over Remicade infusions, and my experiences with immunosuppressants and other treatments.
