Brom is one of the bulkiest physical units in the series not only because of his astronomical HP and Defense, but also because of his 61 Luck. This makes it so that it is almost impossible for you to crit this country man unless you have Wrath. Although, Brom still has a multitude of issues going for him. He is very slow, meaning he is being out-sped and doubled by most of the cast, very frail on the Resistance side of things with 30 Res, somewhat low Strength compared to what you would want on a Marshall (making him very reliant on Luna), and below average Skill as well, making his main win condition (Luna) less likely to occur. One thing that gives him more chances to proc his Luna is Disarm, which is a great defensive skill in this series, especially for a unit as slow as Brom. As long has he survives the first attack(s) from his enemy, he can Disarm them and get a free attack on them on the following turn because of their weapon being unequipped. This also reduces the chance of him being defeated by a mastery skill since he can essentially cut the attackers offense in half when they attack him first.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
