The way that I did units from Shadows of Valentia last time was by deducting HP to give the units something to use from their Combat Arts. It's pretty much the same thing, where the unit gets to choose 3 Combat Arts from the weapons they can use, but this time I've reduced the HP deduction by half. It was mostly because it was just too much to lose for some skills, and Alm wasn't really affected before because I accidentally used the bases from his Conqueror class when it should've been from his Fighter class, meaning he got a lot more HP than he should have. So, because I am using the proper Fighter bases this time, his HP dipped closer to 60 HP, which didn't feel right, hence the change to only half HP deduction. Now, getting to what his build is like. He has solid offensive stats, good weapon access in Swords/Bows, and some powerful skills at his disposal. He also has some solid bulk, even with the HP deduction, thanks to his good Def/Res that he has (Res is based off the tolerance stats in Shadows of Valentia, which is why he actually has a Res stat over 10 lol). Adept/Cancel with great offense is amazing for him and helps his survivability by getting more chances to stop the enemy counter attacks, and because he has solid Lck, he will be initiating a decent amount of times, so Cancel actually does pretty well here. His personal attack when he has the Royal Sword equipped, Scendscale, is also a good option for him to either stall if he'd rather not take counter attacks when he initiates or just to finish off enemies from out of their range since it cannot be countered. The only downside to him is that his Spd is kind of meh. I would say 56 was solid in the last series, but with all of the changes, 60+ Spd is kind of where you want to be now.
