In this tutorial we are optimizing our scenes for higher frame (FPS) by adjusting level of detail settings (LOD). This, of course, is just a small part of larger instruction on advanced arch viz real time projects. You can find out more about that, and get all the models and materials from this scene by clicking the links above.

LODs address the issue of high poly models in real time. UE4 has built-in tools for optimizing these models and making there more efficient, similar to what pro optimize can do in 3ds max, for example. This is an essential workflow to understand for making sure that your real time projects are navigable at a proper frame rate. For this part of the project we are focusing on fps navigation of the scene.

*UE4 can handle all your level of detail generation automatically.
