Audi is working on the "MaterialLoop" initiative to reuse post-consumer elements from end-of-life vehicles in the creation of new cars, along with 15 partners from the recycling, research, and supply industries. Avoiding downcycling and achieving a very effective circular economy idea are the goals. 100 automobiles were taken apart in October 2022, and the selective removal of specific parts allowed for the recycling of high-quality secondary materials. In addition to participating in the recycling of old automotive glass, plastics, and aluminum, Audi seeks to increase the percentage of recycled materials in its fleet.
