The 2021 Acura TLX 2.0T sports sedan has commenced production at Honda's Marysville, Ohio facility, and the Type S model will follow, though Acura has not stated a release date. When the TLX goes on sale on September 28, the base model will cost $38,525; the V-6-powered TLX Type S, which Acura claims will cost just over $50,000, won't come until next spring.

The previous-generation TLX had a normally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, while the new model will have a 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. There are front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models available. The Type S variant, which will replace the 2.0T, is powered by a 355-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, which produces 65 more horsepower than the previous TLX V-6. Both engines will be constructed at Acura's Anna, Ohio plant and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
